Learn About Lem

I am not your typical politician because I have different experiences than some politicians. I worked in aerospace for 30 years and  during those 30 years I have been a proud member of district 751 of the International Association of Machinists.  I was also a Union Steward for the IAM 751 for 20 years. Since 1992, I have been the Pastor at the United House of Prayer for All People and I now run a consulting ministry with colleagues around the United States. When I am not working or praying, I spend much of my time as a volunteer soccer coach in WSSC as well. Before all of this, I proudly served our country in the United States Marine Core. Representation in our government matters, and right now we don't have the right kind of representation in our legislature.  Right now, there are ZERO African Americans in the Washington State Senate and the 34th LD has never elected a person of color.  Its time for realistic diversity, and we have to work together and believe in the creed of this district to make this happen.

I’m running because I believe we can do better because our community members and our State needs us to do better. I look forward to earning your support.
